For those unfamiliar with voiceover work, a "punch-in" is the term describing the process of making an on-the-fly correction to a voiceover. If the talent screws up, the engineer will go back a couple of sentences and play the recording while the talent reads along (or sings.) At an appropriate place, the engineer punches the "record" button creating an instant edit, replacing the mistake with the live voice of the talent. The session then continues with the corrected recording aleady in place.

I've been trying to keep my friends and business associates entertained and informed, using e-mailed newsletters on a more or less monthly basis. I call it "MrVO Punch-Ins" because it's my way of correcting the mistake of not staying in touch. Most of these are just chatty little mini-blogs covering my observations on anything from recipes to world events (with a bit of shameless self-promotion thrown in.)

Browse through them, and if you decide you'd like to join the MrVO Spam Club and receive a copy via e-mail whenever I get around to putting another one out, just ask!
